Job title: Computer Programmer Analyst
Description of Institution: State of Florida, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Forestry at 3125 Conner Boulevard, Tallahassee, Florida
Responsibilities: .NET programming under the direction of Systems Project Administrator and working with Application Support team. Job includes small projects creating ASP.NET web applications with VB classes and using Oracle 10g as the data store. These projects will include working with the customer to gather requirements, create basic system design, coding and testing. The consultant will follow the Department’s Application Development Standards and work with the Information Technology Life Cycle documentation as required by the department.
Required Qualifications: Skills required include but not limited to use of VB.NET, .ASP.NET 2.0 and higher, ANSI SQL, database fundamentals, .html, .css, JavaScript, Visual Studio 2005, Microsoft Office.
Ability to create clear and concise oral and written communications on both a technical level with other IT staff and on a non-technical level with business users.
Ability to be flexible in work environment: to work independently and unsupervised when necessary, participate as member of team.
Degree in Information Science or similar or degree OR class work with .NET project OR experience as a .NET programmer.
Desired Qualifications: Experience in Oracle database and PL/SQL.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Minimum is $10 per hour for no experience and maximum is $25.00 per hour for experienced programmer.
